Two More Weeks Until 26 Unforgettable Days

It's hard to believe, but two weeks from today, I'll already be on the East Coast! Don started out by giving us a speech about what's expected of ILCers. It's crazy what people have done in the past. This year's orientation seemed to go by a lot faster than last year's orientation. We quickly split into our cohorts afterwards.

Ms. Thrift passed out general itineraries for our trip. We're going to be leaving on June 16th and visiting the most amazing group of schools before we go to Columbia. There's going to be several dinners and lunches with alumni, admissions officers, and current students. Currently all of the schools we're visiting are on my list of schools to apply to, so I'm ecstatic to be able to visit all of them! I've actually visited some of these cities and schools before, but I was only five years-old at the time, so I don't remember anything about them! It's kind of surprising because I visited almost right after the 9/11 tragedy and we're visiting the new 9/11 Museum and Memorial. Ms. Thrift just posted an article written by the family member of a 9/11 victim too. The writer wrote about it from a totally different perspective and I'm sure it's going to change the way I feel when I visit it. 

We closed off our cohort session with some questions and minor changes. It seems like everyone's eager to watch a show on Broadway, but I haven't really looked into which shows seem interesting. I have been researching some cool places to visit though, so hopefully we can visit a few of the places. The places I want to visit are:

To close off the night, Don went onto going over loaner materials and departure day details. We'll probably have to be up by 2AM the day of departure to make it on time! It's pretty early, but it's probably the only way we can go over everything in our busy schedules. Regardless, I'll just be counting down the days until we board our flights!
